Teaching kids grammar is difficult.  Especially when the two parents speak proper ‘Queen’s English’ but they live in a part of England with a Northern twang! However sometimes you have to accept you’ve done your best and whatever they want to say they will:

Alisha: You want to play with babies don’t ya Daddy??
Me: It’s ‘don’t you’ Alisha, not ‘don’t ya’.
Alisha: Oh ok.  DON’T YOU.
Me: Good girl.

A little bit later we are looking at photos on Facebook:

Alisha: Who’s that?
Me: That’s Enya, your little baby cousin.
Alisha: DADDY. It’s ‘En-you’ not ‘En-ya’…………

I’m not even going to bother trying to explain but needless to say little baby Enyou is beautiful πŸ˜‰
